How do I create an IT emergency plan?
Record your systems, responsibilities and contacts. Define reporting paths, immediate measures, continuity arrangements and recovery steps. NICA supports you with guiding questions and adaptable text blocks. Have the handbook reviewed and agreed by the responsible people. Updates and exercises remain part of ongoing maintenance.
Can I reuse existing content?
You can use existing content as a starting point, transferring it into the appropriate sections and adapting it. Check that contacts, systems and measures are still current and complete. We can discuss the right approach for your documents in a demo; this does not assume an automatic import feature.
Do I need a dedicated BCM team?
A dedicated BCM team is not required to get started. However, you should assign owners and involve the relevant departments. Guiding questions and templates support the work; responsibility for appropriate and complete content remains with your organisation.
Does the software replace expert review?
No. NICA helps you capture and check information. Expert assessment, coordination and approval remain the responsibility of the people in charge. Keep the plan up to date and test procedures in exercises. Software alone does not guarantee audit readiness or certification.
Can we get help with implementation?
We can support you with the structure, information gathering and coordination of your emergency handbook. You decide how much consulting you need. The effort depends on factors such as your systems and existing documentation.
Where is our data hosted?
Hosting is provided in data centres in Germany. A data processing agreement is available. We discuss the relevant privacy and contractual questions for your use case together.
Can we expand into BCM later?
You can extend your emergency planning with processes, business impact analysis, risks and recovery planning. Our BCM product page explains these additional functions. We will agree on a suitable implementation approach and scope with you.
